I have an 84 virago 1000 that is flooding badly. I put on a set of pipes and sent it to a Yamaha dealership to have it jetted to match the pipes and it has not been right since. It fouled plugs on the ride home from the shop. When I took it back they tried adjusting the carbs but could not lean the bike out. I replaced the plugs several times but it would get worse the longer I rode until finally it got to the point were it would run for 30 seconds on fresh plugs, load up, and start pouring fuel out the pipes. The dealership told me to replace the floats, needle and seats, but it did not help. I think the fuel pump is force feeding it fuel, because I have adjusted the floats all over the board. I have been chasing this problem for 3 years, and have invested more $$$ into the bike than its even worth. I'm open to any ideas I can get. I love this bike but I'm almost ready to part it out. Thanks

I love this bike but it's time to let it go.
You can see by the pic attached that it's had some mods, specifically the Cycom box was removed and handlebars changed among a few others.
Engine turns and sounds good but it's not turning over and I'm not sure why. Otherwise it's in pretty great shape. I have most if not all of the parts that were taken off of it but full disclosure those parts are in varying conditions. I moved and it just sits in the garage of a friend. The bike is located in Connecticut. I'll consider pretty much any offer. Thanks

The front brake on my '81 750 has been mushy so I am rebuilding the master cylinder and caliper, changing pads, and replacing rubber hose with stainless steel hose. Is there anything else I can do to improve the brakes? Also, since I'm starting with a dry system, is there any problem switching over to dot 5 fluid? I like the fact that it doesn't mess up paint as fast.
